No Need To Scream, Shout Factory Isn’t Going Anywhere

By:Dominic La-Viola

Before going and buying that overpriced, gouged Shout Factory Blu-ray. Read this first.

As an avid physical media collector myself, I was in all when I first heard the news about Shout Factory shutting down. I found myself in one of those dark and gloomy moments.

Thinking is the beginning of the end of physical media. Have the tides finally turned?

It seemed that the news of the shutdown had been all over my social feeds, and people’s reactions were stronger than I would have imagined.

Now, honestly, I found it hard to believe that one of the most sought-after labels was going to be closing its doors. It couldn’t be true.

Come to find out, it’s not. People online, of course, were spreading false information. Who would have thought, because everything you read online is correct? It has to be….

Shout Factory isn’t closing its doors; it simply shut down its standalone website and now shares one with its parent company’s other media outlets.

GRUV.com. Despite these changes, Shout! Factory remains committed to releasing physical media, with new titles still planned.

So there’s no need to worry or panic buy those overpriced Shout Factory releases on eBay for ten times what the site would sell them for.
